Fly Kashmir Tour Details

Kashmir is the northernmost geographical region of the Indian subcontinent. Until the mid-19th century, the term “Kashmir” denoted only the Kashmir Valley between the Great Himalayas and the Pir Panjal Range. Today, it denotes a larger area that includes the Indian-administered territory of Jammu and Kashmir (which includes the region of Jammu, Kashmir Valley, Ladakh and Siachen), the Pakistani-administered territories of Azad Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan, and Chinese-administered territories of Aksai Chin and the Trans-Karakoram Tract.

In the first half of the 1st millennium, the Kashmir region became an important centre of Hinduism and later of Buddhism; later still, in the ninth century, Kashmir Shaivism arose. In 1339, Shah Mir became the first Muslim ruler of Kashmir, inaugurating the Salatin-i-Kashmir or Shah Mir dynasty. Kashmir was part of the Mughal Empire from 1586 to 1751, and thereafter, until 1820, of the Afghan Durrani Empire. That year, the Sikhs, under Ranjit Singh, annexed Kashmir. In 1846, after the Sikh defeat in the First Anglo-Sikh War, and upon the purchase of the region from the British under the Treaty of Amritsar, the Raja of Jammu, Gulab Singh, became the new ruler of Kashmir. The rule of his descendants, under the paramountcy (or tutelage) of the British Crown, lasted until the partition of India in 1947, when the former princely state of the British Raj was claimed by both Pakistan and India.

DAY 01 ARRIVAL TO SRINAGAR (25 Kms /1 Hrs)

Welcome to Srinagar, summer capital of Jammu & Kashmir. On arrival at airport get transferred to your hotel in Srinagar. In the evening, go for a tranquil ride on the Shikara at Dal Lake with views fo Houseboats for 1 hour (4Pax in 1 Shikara).Post ride visit Carpet Factory & Shopping at Dal Lake. Overnight stay at Hotel in Srinagar. (L & D)

DAY 02SRINAGAR - GULMARG - PAHALGAM (52 Kms /140 Kms | 2 Hrs/4 Hrs)

Today drive early to Gulmarg. Best known as ‘The Meadows of Flowers’. It is popular for Skiing and famous Gondola Ride. Take a fun-filled Gondola ride (1st Level at your own cost). After the Gondola ride have a Lunch (Packed Lunch provided from Srinagar Hotel). On return drive to Pahalgam for Night Stay. Enroute visit the world famous Saffron Fields &Kesar Shops. Overnight stay at Pahalgam (B, PL & D)

DAY 03PAHALGAM LOCAL

After breakfast, proceed to take a complimentary visit to BetaabValley.Post the filming of 1983 Bollywood blockbuster – ‘Betaab’ at this location, Hjan was renamed Betaab. Post Bettab Valley have a Lunch at Hotel. Later you can stroll around the local market or visit Baisaran (Mini Switzerland) at your own cost on Pony. Return to hotel & have Dinner. Overnight stay at Pahalgam. (B, L & D)

DAY 04PAHALGAM - SRINAGAR ( 96 Kms / 3 Hrs)

After breakfast, proceed towards Srinagar, enroute visit Rafting Point & enjoy Rafting (at an your own cost), further watch the Awantipur Ruins, an ancient Vishnu Temple and the Cricket Bat Factories to get some great photographs. Post lunch at Srinagar Hotel proceed for the sightseeing of Srinagar visiting the Shankracharya Temple, the Mughal Gardens (NishatBagh& Shalimar Gardens) followed by some shopping of souvenirs at the Boulevard. Overnight stay at Srinagar. (B, L & D)

DAY 05SRINAGAR - YUSMARG - SRINAGAR ( 47 Kms / 2 Hrs)

After breakfast, proceed towards Yusmarg, grassy pastures stretching to acres of land, the dense forests full of pine trees, with the backdrop of splendid snow capped mountains leave you almost speechless. You may laid-back stroll amongst flower-strewn meadows. Another venue for the walkers is a river, known by the name of Dudh Ganga. Return back to Hotel at Srinagar for Lunch and rest of the time for Leisure . Overnight stay at Srinagar. (B, L & D)

DAY 06SRINAGAR - SONMARG - SRINAGAR (87 Kms / 3 Hrs)

After breakfast at the hotel we proceed for a day excursion to Sonmarg. Popularly known as ‘The Meadow of Gold’, is famous for the picturesque views of nowy mountains and green pastures. You may opt a trip to Thajiwas glacier (at an additional cost). On return back visit Kheer Bhawani Temple on the way to Srinagar. Overnight stay at Srinagar. (B, PL & D)

DAY 07DEPARTURE (25 Kms /1 Hrs)

Today you bid farewell to your Fly Himalayas Tour. After Lunch you will check out and proceed to the airport for your homebound journey. Return home with wonderful memories.(B & L)

CANCELLATIONS:

If we cancel the tour, then we shall refund the amount. But if we are forced to cancel the tour due to the natural calamities like natural calamity, heavy snow falls, flood, riots, bandhs, strikes etc. then we shall charge the air fare which is non-refundable & refund the tour cost after deducting 20% as our service charge for making the necessary arrangements for your tour . If the passenger wants to cancel the tour he/she shall have to make a written application to our office and we shall refund the tour cost after

deducting cancellation charges as under:-

  1. Cancellation charges before 30 days of tour departure Rs. 6000/-
  2. Cancellation charges between 25days to 30 days 50% of the tour cost.
  3. Cancellation charges Within 25 days to 15 days 85% of the tour cost.
  4. Cancellation charges Within 15 days 100% of the tour cost.
  5. Change of Name : In the case he/she not willing to go with the Tour, can change the pax, name 25 days before departure by paying additional Rs.4000/- per passenger.
